The Bauer Supreme Matrix JR Hockey Pants have been specifically designed for Source for Sports and delivers tremendous value in a competitive level pant. The Matrix features a ton of upgrades such as the heavy duty 420D nylon shell, an integrated spine, Thermomax liner, and a 1” extension zipper customization option.
External Materials
The Bauer Matrix pant features a heavy duty 420D nylon shell with additional overlays in high wear areas for better durability. The Matrix also has stretch areas in the crotch which allow the legs to move more naturally without restriction.
Thigh Protection
The thigh guards in the Matrix pants consist of a high-density foam with molded PE (polyethylene) inserts. These are anatomically formed and wrap nicely around the leg to give a low profile feel. This allows the pad to move with the body and prevent the pants from rotating during contact.
Hip Protection
A classic fit one-piece guard in the hips offers great protection in what is usually a high contact area.
Spine Protection
The Bauer Supreme Matrix pants use an integrated spine protection piece with molded high-density foam. This is a protective and reliable material that keeps the lower spine protected from any unwanted contact.
Kidney Protection
The kidney region is protected by a molded one-piece guard with a PE (polyethylene) insert. The padding hugs the body comfortably while still allowing a full range of motion.
Belt/Lace Closure
The belt on the Bauer Matrix pants is covered by a medium-density foam which offers an additional layer of protection between the thigh and kidney pads. The Matrix also has a zippered extension feature which allows the player to add an additional 1” to the overall length. This feature is beneficial to the player who finds themselves in a possible growth spurt mid season, or in between sizes. Finally, the lace closure allows you to adjust the tightness even further to your liking.
Leg Zippers
The Matrix pant does not offer an enclosed zipper opening on the inseam.
